EverAfterLand was blowin' the roof off for New Year's Eve!
Hosted by Miss Priss, of course. She made sure each of her guests had plenty to eat and drink!
(Note for 2012: Don't move beers from counter to dining table while you're cleaning the kitchen. Not even for five minutes!)
(Just so you know, she thought it was coke!)
(Party Note: Clifford can NOT hold his liquor. Watch him next time!)

When one is an Elf, and the nights are soooo long and sooooo cold, can one really blame said Elf for finding a little warmth and comfort in the arms of a fine-looking man?
This morning we discovered that Christmas had been dancing the night away with the Nutcracker Prince!
What can I say? We are both suckers for a man in uniform.
(Especially when that uniform accentuates certain "ASS-ets!")

It was my own fault, really.
I had said to hubby, as I sipped on a glass of rum and coke, "Nothing puts you in the Christmas Spirit like some Christmas spirits!"
I'm afraid Christmas the Elf overheard me. And assumed I had been referring to her.
So Christmas got into the spirits.
I'm not entirely sure she made it all the way back to the North Pole last night. But you can be sure I did not let the girls find her like that! Using our special Elf-Tongs (can't have her losing her magic so close to Christmas!), I gingerly moved her to the shelf in Prissy's bedroom.
Whew! That was a close one!!

Christmas, the Christmas Elf, ever the reminder of all things Christmas once again kept us on the Christmas track by pulling out all our Christmas Cookie Cutters, a less-than-subtle nudge at the task she wanted checked off our Christmas List today....
Baking Christmas Cookies!!!
Can you guess which cookie shape is Christmas' favorite???

This morning was officially the longest Elf Hunt we've had to date.
Miss Priss looked and searched. Upstairs and downstairs and all around the house she went.
Twice!
Then Daddy was enlisted to help, and Christmas was finally found.
Perhaps because Big Daddy was a little closer to eye-level with Christmas' perch!
Who says Elves don't exercise?
(Oh, and see that little gray plastic pot on top of the candle? That's the pot of broken candy canes Priss left for her. She's really good at remembering to feed her Elf!)

Christmas really did me a solid this morning.
I wasn't sure how to surprise Miss Priss with the fact that Grandpop was taking her and me to a performance of The Nutcracker that afternoon.
But Christmas knew just what to do - pose on the shelf with the DVD of Barbie in The Nutcracker.
Boy, was she surprised when I told her we would get to see her movie in a real, live theater!
And how did Priss enjoy the show?
She loved it! Especially when Grandpop made sure she walked out with the biggest nutcracker in the place!
